This is a B2B buying guide, not a conformity certificate or a substitute for importer and authority review of the exact SKU.
Start with function and final configuration
Water-using taps, mixers, shower outlets, shattaf sprayers and flow regulators may fall within GSO-WER categories. Angle valves, manifolds, threaded brass fittings and standalone hoses are not presented here as automatically inside that scope. Product function and final configuration determine the technical-regulation review; customs classification is confirmed separately.
Separate applicant, manufacturer and importer roles
The MoIAT application route, GSO manufacturer or authorised-representative assessment, and UAE importer verification and declaration duties are not automatically held by one party. Confirm who applies, who maintains the evidence and who carries importer obligations before testing or shipment.
Connect evidence to the offered model
Reports and certificates must demonstrably cover the offered model or approved product family. Where applicable, review Green Label and GCTS data, traceability details, manufacturer and importer information, and Arabic safety and use instructions through the current route before releasing artwork.
Keep conformity and customs clearance separate
A conformity certificate does not guarantee customs release. The UAE importer and customs broker should separately confirm business registration, declaration, origin evidence, invoice, packing list, permits and any product-status or transition process for the exact shipment.
